Homework Assignments
Dear Parents and students,
My quarterly homework packet will be sent home in a couple of days. It is designed to help you work with your child at their level in various subjects. Hopefully, this will serve as a resource to guide you through the Kindergarten year. If you find that the homework is too difficult or not challenging enough for your child, please let me know. I have many materials in my class that I will be happy to share. In reading, you will find that both phonics and whole language are essential for your child to read successfully. I try very hard to find out your child's strengths and interests so that I can help them to grow stronger in those areas. This also helps me to assist them on deciding on a good writing topic.
We will try to do at least one writing piece and reading every day. We also do math daily. All other subjects will be intergrated throughout the week along with those subjects. Along with your homework packet, there will be a daily calendar sheet for you to fill out so that I can monitor your child's work and progress. I hope that you find that this will be a pleasant experience for you and your child.
