Dear Parents, Students and Friends, pencil cowboy:

I have been an educator for fifteen years. I've spent five years teaching Preschool before I came to Deer Valley USD. This is my twelth year with the Deer Valley Unified School Dist. I have been teaching at Las Brisas School for eight years and it has been extremely enjoyable! This will be my eighth year as a Kindergarten teacher. I've also taught first grade for three years.

I love teaching and learning!! I have a B.A.E. from A.S.U and a M.A. from N.A.U. in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Early Childhood Ed. I enjoy taking classes and keeping up with all of the current classroom opportunities.

I live a wonderful and busy life with my husband, Todd. We have three children, Todd Jr., (his wife, Francesca and two adorable sons, Quentin and Isaac) our son, Christopher( his wife, Jamie), living in Arkansas, and our daughter, Jodi.

I enjoy boating, camping, sports, animals, reading and helping my husband with our home improvement business.

In my class, you will see a fun-learning, hands-on environment that is developmentally appropriate for each individual student.

The kindergarten curriculum is full of exciting activities that your child will be engaged in throughtout the year. My hope is that each child develops a love for school and becomes a life-long learner.

I follow the Arizona State Educational Standards which is in place by the U.S. Dept.of Ed. National Standards in my teaching practices.

I strongly encourage you to read to your child daily. They will never forget!
